Attention home cooks: It?s time to take your dish out of the oven and join us for a chat with Dining?s own Julia Moskin and the cookbook author Nigella Lawson. We selected three Times readers to join the chat via Google+ Hangout after making the first Recipe Lab dish, Ms. Lawson?s whole wheat pasta with brussels sprouts, cheese and potato. Ms. Moskin and Ms. Lawson, speaking from their kitchens in New York and London, respectively, discussed the recipe, Ms. Lawson?s new cookbook, ?Nigellissima,? and food in general with our three home cooks.

For years, Ms. von Tagen?s relaxing Sunday morning ritual was watching Ms. Lawson?s cooking shows on TV. In October 2010, Ms. von Tagen, a working mother of three, started her own food blog, Gorgeous Bits, which she named after Ms. Lawson?s reference to the ?gorgeous bits? left behind after frying bacon in a pan.
Preston Yancey, 23, St. Andrews, Scotland
Mr. Yancey, a native Texan, is a Ph.D. candidate in Divinity at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. While he was growing up, he was responsible for most of the cooking in his family?s household, much of which he learned from Ms. Lawson?s cookbooks.
Amanda Horowitz, 32, New York City
Ms. Horowitz is a corporate lawyer whose mother and grandmother taught her to cook, which she now does in a tiny Manhattan kitchen. She turned her love for cooking and photography into a food blog, Serococinera, which in English means ?to be a cook.?
