Man Hurt, Pets Killed In Washington Court House Fire | WBNS-10TV

A man was in serious condition on Monday morning after he was injured when his house caught fire.

The blaze was reported at about 10 p.m. Sunday in the 1200 block of Rawllings Street, 10TV's Tino Ramos reported.??

Firefighters put out the flames and the State Fire Marshal's Office was called to investigate the cause of the fire.

Bill Walters told his neighbors that he somehow spilled gasoline in the house and it got ignited.

Michelle Miller and Mike Neal were next door when the fire started.? They rushed over to find that Walters' family got out of the house safely.

"When I got outside, he (said), 'Help me, help me,'" Miller said. "I was actually kind of scared because he was burnt so bad, it wasn't funny. It was just very horrid. I couldn't understand what was going on."

Walters was listed in serious condition at Fayette Memorial Hospital.

The pets in the house did not survive, Ramos reported.??
